Kris Kitto: Reporter

Kris is a freelance reporter based in Washington, D.C. He recently moved back to the United States after working in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with The Associated Press. There he covered the Fourth Summit of the Americas and Argentine midterm congressional elections, among other international stories.

Prior to working at AP, Kris spent time in Washington. D.C., as the national politics correspondent for The Herald-Sun of Durham, N.C. He also has reported from Chicago, Dallas and Managua, Nicaragua.

Kris spent nearly two and a half years in northern Ecuador as a Peace Corps volunteer, where he worked with women and teenagers on health education. He is a Denver native and graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
