Webby Nomination: Last Day to Vote for Interactive History on the Origins of HIV

The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences selected the "Interactive History on the Origins of HIV" as a nominee for best science website as part of the 19th Annual Webby Awards.

"Interactive History on the Origins of HIV" follows the footsteps of researchers, discovering the phases through which the disease has passed during its century-old history and pairs with the Pulitzer Center-supported documentary, The Rise of the Killer Virus (which aired in Europe as The Bloody Truth).

The Webby nominee was produced by DOCDAYS Productions in co-production with YUZU Productions and CONGOO for ZDF in collaboration with ARTE and ARTE FUTURE. Both "Interactive History" and the documentary are associated with Gierstorfer's Pulitzer Center-supported reporting project "HIV's Origins-And the Lessons for Today." The Rise of the Killer Virus premiered in the U.S. on the Smithsonian Channel on World AIDS Day. Prior to its U.S. showing, the documentary premiered in Europe as The Bloody Truth.
