On March 18, 2019, Global Photography announced the winners of Sente-Antu Cup International Photo Contest in Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, China. Pulitzer Center grantee and 2016 Persephone Miel Fellow Ako Salemi was named one of the Top Ten Photographers of the World for his project, "Climate Change in Iran."

The work stands as witness to climate change's consequences on Iran—a region which, according to NASA data, is in danger of losing 35 percent of its currently inhabited territory over the next 20 years.

The Sente Antu Cup International Photo Contest aims to develop and diversify photographic art and provide a platform for photographers to gain global exposure. This is the competition's second year, and awards are announced annually.
