Pulitzer Center Grantee Marcia Biggs Nominated for Peabody Award

On April 9, 2019, the Peabody Awards Board of Jurors announced the nominees for the 2019 Peabody Awards. Marcia Biggs was nominated in the News category for her Pulitzer Center-supported PBS NewsHour series, "Inside Yemen."

"Inside Yemen" reports on the effects of the country's brutal and protracted civil war, documenting acute food and medicine shortages, a staggering economic crisis, and what the U.N is calling the "world's worst humanitarian crisis."

Since 1940, The Peabody Awards have honored the most compelling and empowering stories released in broadcasting and digital media each year. Peabody Award winners and nominees will be celebrated at a red-carpet event on Saturday, May 18, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
