Pulitzer Center Update February 2, 2022

Pulitzer Center, Indigenous Photograph Launch Photo Call

Authors:

The Pulitzer Center and Indigenous Photograph are launching an open photo call. This call is aimed at seeking work from Indigenous photographers documenting their experiences with climate change.

We are particularly interested in those using photography as a storytelling tool to visualize climate issues with a specific focus on journalistic and documentary photography.

Selected images will be featured as part of a projection during the Coal + Ice exhibit, which runs March 15–April 22, 2022, at the REACH at the Kennedy Center. Photographers will receive $300 per image that is selected for the projection.

Indigenous Photograph is an organization committed to elevating the work of Indigenous visual journalists and bringing balance to the way we tell stories about Indigenous people and spaces.

The deadline for submissions is February 25, 5:00pm EST. There is no application fee and applications must be in English.

Photographers can submit up to five images of their choosing. Please include captions with each of the photos.

Please fill out the form here.
