Istanbul-based photographer, Emin Özmen, documents the lives of the Talysh community, specifically women, who struggle to maintain cultural identity despite political pressure to assimilitate. This ethnic group has traditionally lived along the border with Iran. They are predominantly Shi'a Muslims and maintain strong ties with Iran.
