In 2016, the Colombian government signed a peace deal with the country's largest guerrilla group, the FARC, to end 50 years of war. But building true peace goes far beyond signing an agreement, and the test comes in the following years. Already, implementation of the peace accords has fallen short, and as a result, a new dynamic of violence plagues many regions. For the PBS NewsHour, Nadja Drost and Bruno Federico take a look at the alarming wave of assassination of social leaders, as well as the enormous and brave efforts of those searching for the tens of thousands of people who were forcibly disappeared during the conflict, trying to close one of the most silent but painful chapters of Colombia's conflict in an attempt at reconciliation.
