"Dream of REDD" tells the story of the UN's ambitious project to try and bring forests and wilderness areas into the global fight against climate change.

"Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation" (REDD) was started ten years ago in Papua New Guinea (PNG), a country dogged by poverty and corruption, but which has one of the world's great remaining rainforests.

Sam Knight traveled to PNG to visit pilot projects and talk to scientists and government officials as they attempt to establish a new way of putting financial value on natural systems. Can this brave, elegant idea possibly work?
