On July 9 in Warsaw, NATO is scheduled to announce the largest military buildup in Europe since the Cold War. Tensions between the West and Russia are higher than they've been for 25 years. All this week, PBS NewsHour is examining the causes of that tension from Estonia, Poland, Ukraine and the Donetsk People's Republic, the self-declared, breakaway district in eastern Ukraine along the Russian border. Nick Schifrin and Zach Fannin introduce themselves from the front lines in Ukraine, where for two years, Donetsk fighters who want to separate from Ukraine and join Russia have battled Ukrainian soldiers trying to stay united.
