2023 Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellows Beibei Liu and Mayara Teixeira’s film After Landing will screen at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Missoula, Montana. The film follows a couple, Jorge and Jeczebel, in the months after they immigrated to the United States from Venezuela via the dangerous Darién Gap. After a bus takes them from Texas to New York City, Jorge and Jeczebel are faced with finding housing, securing a job, and starting over in an unfamiliar city.

The Big Sky film festival is a hybrid event with in-person screenings in theaters across Missoula on February 16-25, 2024. After Landing will screen at The Wilma on February 17 at 12:30pm MST and February 19 at 12:30pm MST. It will also be available to stream online February 19-29, 2024.
