The Fight: Battling Cancer in Haiti. 2019.

Getting cancer in Haiti can be like getting a death sentence. Treatments are hard to come by, and with limited options, the poor and powerless pay the price.

On Thursday, March 28, 2019, join us at Guttman Community College in New York to learn more about cancer and health infrastructure issues in Haiti with award-winning Pulitzer Center grantee journalist Jacqueline Charles, who will share her latest reporting from that country.

Also on hand will be Jin Ding, Pulitzer Center marketing and communications manager. Ding also co-directs the Asian American Journalists Association's Women & Non-Binary Voices affiliate group.

Food and refreshments provided at this event at Guttman Community College, which is part of the Pulitzer Center Campus Consortium network.
