Join us for a discussion with author and investigative journalist Jason Berry at Guilford College on Thursday, April 3. Berry will explore the road that lies ahead for Pope Francis as he confronts the Catholic Church's recent history of sexual and financial scandal.

Berry is an expert on the inner-workings of the Vatican and has published several books on the topic, including Render Unto Rome: The Secret Life of Money in the Catholic Church and Vows of Silence: The Abuse of Power in the Papacy of John Paul II. His project for the Pulitzer Center, "The Vatican and the Nuns," explores the Vatican's polarizing investigations into American nuns accused of "radical feminism." The project delves into the paradox of a doctrinally conservative yet "pastorally liberal" church.

Berry will share his extensive knowledge of the Catholic Church in an effort to help illuminate what might be the next steps for the Vatican and the Papacy.
