The Pulitzer Center Rainforest Journalism Fund in collaboration with l’Union des Journalistes de Bouaké (UJB) and Science Watch Infos invites environmental journalists reporting on African rainforests to a virtual event on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 12:00pm GMT.

Pulitzer Center and Science Watch Info editors will share grant opportunities and tips on how to impress editors and make the best out of your pitching skills.

What you will learn:

  • How to submit a grant application that catches the interest of editors
  • How to pitch an environmental story that is focused and concise
  • How to present yourself to an editor so you can inspire confidence and secure greater distribution for your stories
  • The importance of: clarity, disclosing on the methods of your reporting, and demonstrating feasibility
  • The do’s and don’t about submitting a grant application and an environmental pitch
