Health Science

The Pulitzer Center is enabling journalists to cover relevant and timely stories about the fast-evolving world of science specific to global health and development. We recognize there are huge gaps in information between what the science community is doing and what the public actually knows—and that high-quality journalism can play a vital role in better informing the public about advances in science, as well as the historical context on science “news.”

The COVID-19 pandemic and the climate crisis have made these gaps more glaring and more urgent than ever. Our grantees are working to bridge these growing gaps by producing engaging, evidence-driven stories that enrich understanding and reduce public misperceptions of scientific advances related to today’s complex global health and development challenges.
