Samuel Loewenberg

Samuel Loewenberg is a journalist based in Washington, D.C. He writes on public policy, business, and international affairs. From 2002 to the summer of 2007, Samuel was based in Europe, living in Brussels, Madrid and Berlin. His articles on foreign affairs, politics, culture, business, health, and poverty have appeared in The New York Times, The Economist, The Guardian, Time, Newsweek, The Washington Post, Forbes, The Lancet, The Nation, Slate, and Playboy. His television work includes the PBS programs NOW with Bill Moyers and World Focus.
Samuel has reported from Beijing, Bucharest, Budapest, Marrakesh, Moscow, Niamey, Rio de Janeiro, and Tirana, Albania. He has received grants from the German Marshall Fund of the United States and was a 2001-2002 Knight-Bagehot Journalism Fellow in Business and Economics.
