Zoe Alsop
Zoe Alsop moved to Kenya this fall to work as a journalist. Prior to moving she researched organized crime and police corruption in New York city for the book, Brotherhoods: The True Story of Two NYPD Cops who murdered for the Mafia, by Guy Lawson and William Oldham.
Before receiving a degree in International Media and Communications from Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs in 2005, Zoe reported for the Associated Press in Bogota and the Village Voice as an intern.
Among other things, she has also taught public high school Spanish in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, taught English as a Second Language in Jackson Heights, Queens, painted nursery murals, worked on a camp of returned refugees in Guatemala and helped set up Cirque du Soleil tents with ex-convicts in San Francisco.
