Amy Yee

Amy Yee is an award-winning journalist who has written for The New York Times, The Economist, NPR, Wall Street Journal, The Nation and more. She is a former staff reporter and correspondent for the Financial Times in New York and New Delhi. Amy was based in India from 2006 to 2013.
She writes broadly about human and economic development, including environment, public health, business and ways to reduce poverty.
Her essay about climate change in Bangladesh was a Notable Essay in the Best American Essays 2015.
Amy is a Gold, Silver and Bronze winner in the United Nations Correspondents Association awards. She wrote lead stories about child mortality and health in the GlobalPost series that won first prize for Public Health Reporting in the 2013 Association of Healthcare Journalists contest. She is also a two-time winner in the South Asian Journalists Association (US) awards.
