Ingrid Holmquist

Ingrid Holmquist is a journalist and filmmaker from Nebraska. Ingrid worked as an Assistant and Photo Editor for National Geographic Photographer Joel Sartore where she focused on documenting the extinction crisis. She's reported for the Chicago Tribune, Lincoln Journal Star, Attn:, Hear Nebraska, Nebraska Educational Telecommunications, Lincoln Today and others. Ingrid is drawn to stories about migration, gender, subcultures and the Midwest and is intrigued by the ways seemingly ordinary people can tell their life's stories through journalism. She is a master's student studying documentary filmmaking at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and studied photojournalism, broadcast and Spanish at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is currently based in New York City.
