Maria Solis

Maria is a high school educator in Chicago’s Southwest Side. Although she only has less than 4 years of teaching experience, she has been a part of a lot of the new school policies. She has worked with the Freshman Success Team and coordinated the Freshman Connection program to assist the new students feel welcome and supported in their high school experience. She is also a part of the Post-Secondary Success Team and Senior Seminar to ensure that seniors have a strong plan post-high school and are able to follow their personal and professional aspirations. Through this work, she has received the FAFSA certification and the Chicago College and Career Advising Credential. Maria is also a part of the Bilingual Committee working and teaching with the bilingual student population. Maria plans to obtain her MEd in Instructional Leadership- Policy Studies.
