Michael Murney
2021 POST-GRAD REPORTING FELLOW
Michael Murney will report on mental health services in Texas county jails. In August, he graduated with his master’s in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School. While there, he probed Chicago’s surveillance camera network and conditions in Illinois’ private halfway houses, while working with The Washington Post as a member of the Medill Investigative Lab. Murney is currently a reporting fellow with the Dallas Observer.
