GUEST CONTRIBUTOR

Quiana Lewis is a doctoral student in the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she studies adolescent health and family policy.

Her dissertation examines the health outcomes of youth raised by grandparent caregivers. She believes that every young person should have a fair chance to live their healthiest life.

Accordingly, she sees it as her mission to ensure that policies, systems, and programs support the healthy development of the nation's most vulnerable youth.
