Saudi Arabia is relaunching itself as a powerbroker on the global stage. Riyadh has solidified its alliance with the Trump administration, convinced Washington to boost support to its military effort in Yemen, and jumped back into regional politics in Syria, Egypt, Iraq, and elsewhere.

Meanwhile at home, the Kingdom's leaders are promising dramatic, fast-paced reforms for a country used to evolutionary change. The economy is on the docket for restructuring away from oil, women's rights are inching forward, and progress must come fast enough for a bulging and increasingly unemployed youth population.

The result of internal change and external assertiveness make the coming months of great consequence for Saudi Arabia and all its spheres of influence.
