Ana Vilma Batiz, a Garifuna woman who lives in Triunfo de la Cruz, Honduras, found out she was HIV positive 11 years ago. Her three daughters were also tested at that time, and it turned out that her middle daughter was also HIV positive. Ana Vilma works as an HIV/AIDS educator for a local NGO, visiting support groups for people living with HIV and talking to them about their health and their rights.
