Alexis McCowan

Alexis McCowan is an outreach and communications intern at the Pulitzer Center. McCowan is also a freelance writer for Food and Wine Magazine. She is a recent graduate of Howard University, where she received a bachelor's in journalism with a minor in English.

Previously, she was the content director of the student-run magazine HerCampus. McCowan has also worked as a college editorial intern at Sage Publishing Company, a global academic publisher of books, journals, and library products.

McCowan aspires to be a published poet and an editor. While working with the Pulitzer Center, she hopes to help highlight multidimensional narratives from a variety of perspectives.
