Journalist Allegra Mendelson was granted a journalist visa into Myanmar as part of the first foreign press tour since the country’s February 1 coup. The tour was arranged by the military’s foreign lobbyist Ari Ben-Menashe on behalf of the new regime. Mendelson, who has been reporting on the situation in Myanmar since the day of the coup, traveled to Naypyidaw with exclusive pre-arranged interviews with members of the military.
