Gina Lee Castro

As an Air Force military brat, Gina Castro frequently moved from base to base. She credits this experience for her interest in traveling and learning about other cultures. Eventually this interest grew into a passion for uplifting marginalized communities' voices, and as a result, she frequently writes about communities of color, the LGBTQ community, and other communities she identifies with. Castro recently graduated with a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She specialized in investigative journalism.
