This project explores the stories of seven individuals, including myself, who have resided near the GAF facility in West Dallas, Texas. Through this project, personal narratives will be intertwined with compelling imagery and thorough research to shed light on the severe and often overlooked consequences of environmental degradation on our communities.

The Faces That Face project will serve as a stark reminder of the human toll exacted by profit-driven practices and will emphasize the urgent need for systemic change to address climate injustices. By juxtaposing personal stories and images with a broader socio-environmental context, I hope to galvanize action, provoke critical discussion, and advocate for justice on behalf of those who have borne the brunt of environmental disparities for decades.

The facility in question has also been adversely affecting Black and brown residents for a significant duration in similar communities in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, and Savannah, Georgia. An organization known as Singleton United has been actively engaged in combating these negative impacts in Dallas, Texas, and is working to capture data beyond state lines.
