Refugees and Displaced Persons from Myanmar Critically Vulnerable Amidst COVID-19

Author:

The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated longstanding social, economic, and health vulnerabilities for refugees and displaced persons from Myanmar. At the same time, they have demonstrated creativity, resilience, and community strength during this critical time. Through collaborations with refugees and IDPs themselves, Emily Fishbein's pieces will explore the ways refugees and IDPs from Myanmar are uniquely affected by the pandemic and how they have responded. In particular, Fishbein will focus on IDPs in Myanmar's Kachin State and refugees from Myanmar in Malaysia.
