The Republic of Tantric Crimes is a long-form reportage with multiple narratives where godmen, faith healers, witches, tantrics, occultists, and their victims are traced. It explores how these godmen end up cheating, killing, and raping in the garb of superstition.
This project also investigates the underlying drivers behind these violent crimes — a highly patriarchal society, religious polarization, an inadequate health care system, and misinformation over social media — in India.
