"To Adopt A Child," an investigation on adoptions in Nepal by producers Habiba Nosheen and Lisa Desai, airs Friday, May 6 on <em><a href="https://www.pbs.org/wnet/need-to-know/uncategorized/need-to-know-may-6-2011-adoptions-in-nepal-bin-laden-economics-the-united-states-of-women/9068/">PBS: Need To Know</a></em>.<br>
Recently, the US State department suspended adoptions of orphaned Nepalese children, citing numerous examples of unreliable and potentially fraudulent documents. This report follows the bitter-sweet journey of American families who find themselves caught between two governments as they fight to bring home their adopted children.
