A Conversation with journalist Hilke Schellmann at Washington University in St. Louis

 

Hilke Schellmann is an Emmy Award-winning journalism professor at New York University and a freelance reporter holding artificial intelligence accountable. She was also a Pulitzer Center 2022 AI Accountability Fellow.

Her work has been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The New York Times, and MIT Technology Review, among others. Her book The Algorithm: How AI Decides Who Gets Hired, Monitored, Promoted, and Fired and Why We Need to Fight Back Now was published in January 2024.
