Stephanie Tsakeris
TEACHER FELLOW
Stephanie is an educator with over 18 years of experience teaching in Chicago Public Schools and Dekalb County Schools in Atlanta. The majority of her teaching experience has been as a middle school ELA and social studies teacher. Currently, she teaches 8th grade social studies. Throughout her career, she has been driven to pursue different avenues of professional development related to literacy, historical inquiry, poetry, an action research project, and the coaching and mentoring of new teachers. Outside of teaching, she enjoys exploring the city with her husband, five year old daughter and eight year old son. Together, they enjoy eating donuts, taking walks in the forest preserve and visiting arcades.
